Jackie's Place 2008

Jackie has only been working the plot for a little over 2 months, and is already starting to make her mark. However just when you think everything is going well something crops up to try your patience. In Jackie's case it was water, what was thought to be drainage from gardens behind the Allotments turned out to be a small but active Spring. A pipe has now be laid to a small storage tank set in the ground and an overflow fitted to carry away any surplus water, this in turn is allowing the small plot to dry out and also providing a small but steady supply for watering the plot.

Here again a lot of work over the winter has been carried out and Jackie is also ready to go now that the weather is picking up a little. Jackie's main problem is not so much the weather but the hours of daylight available at the moment, as she works full time Jackie has only been able to come at the weekends weather permitting. As you can see below she has used her time well.
